As stated in the last post, there are physical issues that have to be addressed as well as these software and user based issues that need to be addressed before a truly web service web manifests itself. The reliability of the internet is still quite unpredictable which can influence the number of people who could access save information form the internet if there was ever another problem. The different software philosophies that have shaped our vision of how computers and humans work, has been shattered to several thousand pieces leaving us doubtful of new concepts such as Web Services. The mere thought of having a program installed remotely and accessed remotely has questions regarding privacy such as in cases when information gets out of secure processing and storage facilities into the general public. Remote program stores and data storage can also be plagued by problems such as reliability and failsafe options.
