s3.jpgAmazon, one of the largest players on the internet in terms of web services, has announced that it is ready for full-blast off of their Web Services offering. The company has been working for the past 12 years to shore up their web services offerings such as SQS(Simple Queue Services) a hosted messaging system for Web applications, Simple Storage Service which is it’s biggest earner at the moment which provides web services for storing and retrieving data on the Web and EC2(Elastic Compute Cloud) that provides developers with virtual private servers. These products are now being used and S3 which has over 3.5 million web page views is hailed as the best performer of the three. The company is so pleased with the performance of the S3 system that it hopes to create a separate business entity for the offering of the said service as more and more people are beginning to take notice of web services.
