Well, it means your company won’t need to get the most expensive computers on the planet to run applications that have resources and information stored over several locations giving each and every computer the ability to share secure information quickly and safer. In the past, branches say of banks had to do processing at the end of the day to send all data collected during the day for processing at the head offices mainframes. Now we can have the data processed in-house then send the processed data to the mainframe and other branches who do processing at the same time returning all relevant information to the respective branches for updating of customer�s information which they in turn can access through the branch server. Confused, less cost per gigabyte of data processed, less storage space needed for data, less powerful computers (which is one of the most expensive investment in most firms) and less manpower needed to manually transmit data to and from branches and head office for all processing is now done on-line in real time as it happens.
