The concept of web services has been around for quite sometime and the idea is not a bad one for you get all the users you need and just one installation on a remote server everybody accesses the program from. They can access the program and save their data online allowing several people to work on the same problem all at the same time. The question, will they ever work is one which comes down to the overall reliability of the internet which today is still cause for concern to many. The recent internet blackout’s caused by Trojans, virus and other malware that sent too much information that was on an unimaginable level that the internet however robust it was succumbed and choked on the messages/spam that were being sent and accessed all at the same time.
