The other incident involved an anchor snagging a vital fiber optic link cable severing it and causing internet blackout and slowdown to most of Asia. The vulnerabilities of the internet cannot be stressed as the regular amount of bad news we get to hear and read about everyday. There are more issues that have to be resolved but the move to a web based program environment might be more of a necessity rather than another fad. Solving all of them is not an option for due to the worsening economy of many states; governments have more important stuff to worry about.
