Web service defenders have to answer to detractors who say that the XML system they are developing has gotten just a bit too complicated and too vague that traditional methods might be better. That is the ongoing debate for as the XML standard is still in development and changes are being done to accommodate all platforms of implementation; many question its ability to deliver. Many have benefited from Web Services mostly in the banking and services sector but the IT industry who is promoting the new shift has been getting heat, burned by their desire for rapid change. SOA’s have been failing considerably and XML is expected to follow suit for even before they enter mainstream implementation problems have already surfaced.
