Search Engines – the Next Big Step (Part 1)
There used to be a time when search engines were merely a dream and one had to literally go from site to site looking for the information they need, reading page after page of information. Search engines have truly revolutionized the way we use the web and how we find information that is relevant to us and the information contained true to its word. The advent of mislabeled pages and trash pages has muddled up the search engine results, slowing efficiency and resulting in a lot of wasted time browsing through pages with totally useless information. The next step was the semantic-web which was supposed to think like a human being and base results not purely on the search terms but on the use and relevance scale, ranking them from exact to less relevant ones.
