outlook.jpgzimbra.jpggmail.jpgIn an unprecedented move, Google and Yahoo’s business software divisions have released their respective versions of web-based software that rivals Microsoft’s Outlook. The move may have fueled the drive of the software development giant to purchase Yahoo in the much publicized bid it placed for the internet search engine company. Microsoft has long been threatened by the dominance of Google in terms of advertising revenue and the move of Microsoft on Yahoo may be to take down some of the competition. Yahoo has recently purchased Zimbra and Google has long had GMail which they have all released to take out some of the market form the Office family of software namely outlook.
