IBM to Enter Cloud

In addition to its support of the cloud-computing platform, IBM has announced a move that will take it up to the clouds with “Bluehouse”, a web-based social networking and collaboration service. The system is already in beta-testing on the company’s web site and promises to be one of the latest additions of cloud computing with a twist of the social net. IBM has been in the forefront of most IT industry developments from hardware to software innovations that has allowed the internet to prosper and expand to ever wider reach.
They have included on-demand Lotus applications into the mix making it one of the most diverse and varied cloud computing architecture applications the world over. Internet-based computing as it is now called is no different fromt he distributed computing back in the days of the mainframe, mini and micro computing platforms. With much of these hardware differences diffused and with the internet running merely beefed-up versions of the microprocessor your desktop is using, just loaded with more memory and stacked one after the other, it has truly revised the way we use computers. IBM is continuing to lead the pack when it comes to technological front, but today it shares the benefit with more companies that are doing as it is, taking the internet and computing to more innovative uses for the benefit of all.
