Cloud computing is expected to be the next step for enterprise and web services which needs to streamline to allow businesses to save on their many IT development costs. The concept has most of the programs and information stored virtually onto powerful computers that in fact is owned by somebody and somebody has to maintain. To clear up things, there is actually no one cloud for the amount of work that has to be done has several of them doing their own set of testing, polishing their systems that have yet to be standardized to allow unified working with the rest of the clouds out there.
There have also been issues sweeping the industry with bumps and humps coming out of the many collaborative works as to security and other issues that must be addressed before the cloud truly takes off.
Security might prove to be the greatest hurdle for without a unified approach and everybody heading their own way, securing a virtual workplace would be like trying to hold water with cheese-cloth. More work and collaboration must be done to finally get cloud computing to take off and take to the clouds for real, only then can this virtually distributed computing platform off the ground.
